The Video Mapping Festival is back in Béthune with a video mapping tour in 6 points in the city centre, which will take you from Labanque to the Béthune Theatre, passing by the Récollets, the rue des Treilles, the Grand’Place and the Tourist Office. Discover the city’s architectural heritage in a new light!
Facade of Labanque – Interactive mapping:
► Super Bibot 3000-alpha
Prepare for battle in an arcade game that puts you in control of surface-seeking light beings. Like a futuristic foosball table in the public space, impose your alternate reality in this team-based game (up to 9 players, games of approx. 1 min 30)!
Development: Ludovic BURCZYKOWSKI
Sound design: Géraldine KWIK
Les Récollets:
► Candy Factory
We are in the ruins of one of the first sugar factories. In our time, this ruin is no longer animated. However, every night, the magic of sugar making still works in this place full of history and sweetness…

Grand’Place – Object video mapping (educational workshop):
► SPACE REPAIR
While visiting the planet Proxima B, Guillermo, at the controls of his flying bus, loses the use of the number 2 reactor and breaks down. He finds himself trapped on this unknown earth.
In the manner of a video game, he will have to find a way to repair his vehicle and then move forward while avoiding the dangers of this cursed hostile planet.
Creative team: Lycée des métiers Salvador Allende, Béthune
Supervising staff: Nicolas CAMARTY
Editing and sound creation: Nicolas CAMARTY
Facade of Béthune-Bruay Tourist Office:
► Paper Jam
One facade, 6 coloured shapes, 3 visual artists, one musician-composer: here are the main elements of this video mapping, conceived as a creative ping-pong, in which each one appropriates the same starting motif to explore the possibilities of the shape. Sometimes a small theatre, an optical toy, or a geometrical ballet… The varied and playful proposals follow one another and play around the theme of spring, symbol of rebirth and new potential.
